The Indiana area travel teams are sponsored by the Indiana Area Soccer Boosters. The program is offered during the spring and fall, and participate in league play with teams from other soccer clubs and associations from around the area. Games are played on Sundays at "home" and "away" at the fields of othe clubs, normally with a rate of no more than 1.5 hours. Transporting to away games would be the responsibility of the parents. Indiana belongs to District 1, which is the East District. This district also includes teams from: •Connellsville •East Allegheny •Greensburg •Hempfield •Jeannette •Kiski •Latrobe •Loyalhanna •Monroeville •Mt. Pleasant •Murrysville •Norwin •Penn Hills •Penn Trafford •Pgh. Dynamo •Plum •Scottdale •Somerset Area •Tri City •Yough •Y.E.S. •Woodland Hills The leagues are organized by age group and gender, and within age groups, there are different divisions, dictated by interest and competitiveness. Age groups being offered by the IASB for Fall 2011 will include: U10 - players with birthdates of 8/01/01 through 7/31/03 U12 - players with birthdates of 8/01/99 through 7/31/01 U14 - players with birthdates of 8/01/97 through 7/31/99 Players whose date of births that do not fall into any of the above ranges would be moved to the next highest age range. All practices and home games will be played on the Georgie Lenz soccer fields at the White Township Recreation Complex located at 495 East Pike Road, Indiana, PA. Occasionally some games will be held at the Indiana Area High School. Team information can be found by "clicking" on the specific age range located on the menu at the right. |
